Gwen Evans is excited for her Underground debut as Kate in Make Believe. She is currently
a sixth grader at Ordean East middle school and a member of the Duluth Icebreakers hockey team. Previous work includes Treasure Island, Disney takes Broadway by Storm, and Annie at the Norshor Theater. Future endeavors include pursuing her interests in sarcasm, theater, and all things hockey.
Paisley is thrilled to be making her Underground debut in Make Believe and is incredibly grateful for this opportunity! Paisley was last seen as “Molly” in Duluth Playhouse’s production of Annie. Paisley is a 5th grader at Piedmont Elementary and when she isn’t in rehearsals you can find her dancing competitively at Madill Performing Arts Center. While her first love is live theater, she recently explored the screen, appearing in an independent film that will be released later this year. Paisley thanks her family for their ongoing support and her voice teacher Christina Stroup for always encouraging her!
Baker is thrilled to be making his Underground Theater debut. Other Duluth Playhouse credits include Singing in the Rain Jr , Treasure Island, Matilda the Musical, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Ragtime The Musical. He would like to thank his friends and family for always supporting him along the way. He would also like to thank the cast and crew for being SO AWESOME. Make Believe has been a wonderful learning experience and Baker has grown as an actor throughout this production.
Jacob had enjoyed Make Believe at the Underground. The cast and crew have been great to work with and the role of Chris has been challenging and exciting to learn. He has also performed with the Playhouse, Renegade, Spirit of the North Theater, and a Lyric Opera Of the North. He loves the Duluth theater community!
Mary has performed over the years at The Minneapolis Children’s Theater, Theater Latte Da, The Guthrie, Yellow Tree Theatre, The Playwright’s Center, The Duluth Playhouse, Renegade, and many more. Some favorite shows include, Assassins, The Pavilion, The Realistic Joneses, Jonah and the Whale, Our Town, Steel Magnolias, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Grace. She’s a co-founder of Take It With You, Live Radio Theatre from Duluth MN. She’s thrilled to call Duluth home.
Sarah is so thrilled to play Make Believe with this brilliant, warm & generous team of artists. In real life Sarah works in IT at The College of St. Scholastica and lives in Duluth with 3 people whom she firmly believes to be the cutest creatures on earth. It’s been a long time off stage for Sarah but some favorite past roles include Titania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Lucy (Bram Stoker’s Dracula) and Frances (Five Women Wearing the Same Dress). Sarah would like to dedicate this performance to her first favorite stage actor; her dad.
Sam
is elated to return to the Underground Theatre since last appearing in Sweet Charity in 2018. His previous credits include Duluth Playhouse’s Ragtime(Henry Ford), Spamalot (Prince Herbert/Not Dead Fred), Grease (Sonny), Annie (Bundles), and Renegade Theatre’s Bright Star (Billy Cane). You can see Sam this summer in the Playhouse’s production of Footloose (Willard
Hewitt), as well as a revival of The Trail
to Oregon! premiering at the Zeitgeist Teatro Zuccone starting July 21. Sam is immensely grateful to be part of such a powerful, moving, and cathartic production and thanks you for your continued support of the local arts. Anna is a fifth grader at Bryant Elementary in Superior, WI. She has just begun her theater adventure, and made her debut with The Duluth Playhouse this past December as Sally Brown in A Charlie Brown Christmas. She has now officially caught the theater bug, and is very excited for her role inMake Believe. She loves acting, dancing, making people laugh, and hanging out with her two cats, Spike & Scotch.
Tiegen Fryberger is delighted to make his debut with the Underground Theater. He is a 4 th grader at Stella Maris Academy, enjoys playing tennis, traveling, skiing, and most of all, dreaming of moving to New York. Tiegen has been attending the Duluth Playhouse summer camps for years, and is busy auditioning, working on his acting, singing and dancing skills.
